Thank you for visiting "A New Day A New Work"! I hope you'll visit as often as you can, and feel free to comment on any of the posts by clicking on the little 'envelopes' under them. I'll be posting as often as I can.
For starters, I came by my names honestly.('Jeanne', for instance, was my middle name, bestowed at birth to match my twin's... [namely, 'Joanne.'] The name 'Miller' is maiden to me, and 'Mason' is last nommer to my first husband, who - [very loved] - died in Spring of the year 1979.) As to the subject of art, it for some reason seemed to be part of my life from the beginning. Portraiture has, at times, paved a particular way to just have fun, as challenge is utterly innate to its form. (If, however, challenge germain to a specific portrait isn't met, it can be more painful than pleasant.) My surreal ink work holds a different kind of challenge, and since reception of it is subjective, it provides a platform of variables from which to create abstraction in both casual geometry and free form. My greatest joy is writing (although I suspect I'm not at all great at it.) In life and circumstance for me - or in that proverbial 'nut-shell' which is mine - these are my selected mediums. They are the criteria by which I seek success as "an artist"... aware at the same time - set in perimeters that are considered to be art - that acheivement is about as elusive as any effort can be.
